The Silvestri years. Coolest X-Men EVER.
So… I guess it’s a bunch of us checking out which one it was, huh? :D Now this brings up memories, sure does.
Yesterday I was reading the 1988 TPB edition of this story. Adams is a great artist whom I’ve admired for ages, his current covers are still terrific and I love the mutant Era the Asgardian Wars belong to. However I must say to my understanding his storytelling -not necessarily his page layout- sometimes sucks.
Collecting UNCANNY X-MEN (1981) #189-198, X-MEN ANNUAL (1970) #8, X-MEN
AND ALPHA FLIGHT (1985) #1-2 and NIGHTCRAWLER (1985) #1-4.
Depois de tantos anos, hoje voltei a ler este cómic na sua segunda edição espanhola. Que diferença ver a capa tratada digitalmente, na imagem supra, comparada com aquela edição em papel.
Contava-se que Romita Jr tinha recebido uma forte resposta negativa dos leitores quando se incorporou ao título. Eu estimo a sua etapa. Especialmente a sua Rogue (Pícara em Espanha, Vampira no Brasil), tão “80s” ^__^
E adoro as cores planas que então se davam.
First Uncanny X-Men issue I ever bought. Still my favourite run: Claremont! Silvestri! Green! My oh my those X-Men kicked some serious ass.
